Restitution Payments
Where a court has ordered restitution payments as part of its dispositional order, the youth or youth’s family are obligated to make such payments directly to the adjudicating court or agency in the sending state. Supervising officers in the receiving state shall encourage young people to make regular payments in accordance with the court order of the sending state. The sending state shall provide the specific payment schedule and payee information to the receiving state. See id. at Rule 5-101(8); J.A.B. v. State, 25 So.3d 554, 558 (Fla. 2010) (Statute’s purpose is to fulfill the goal of providing restitution “wherever possible.”).
